Why Caps Cave In (and How to Stop It)

What is happening inside your cap
- Sweat. Buckram is stiffened with a finish that softens when it gets wet. Hours on your head, day after day, and the front panels lose their backbone.
- Washing. A washing machine does in twenty minutes what sweat does in a year: the finish dissolves, the panels fold, and the dryer bakes the fold in.
